Many New York City girls look up to Bethenny Frankel. Not only is she beautiful, successful, and hilarious, but she also has a realistic view on life and tells it how it is. So when we heard Bethenny would be at the Union Square Barnes and Noble signing her new book, A Place of Yes, all three of us knew we had to attend.
Just before the signing, the news was breaking that Bethenny had sold her Skinny Girl liquor brand to Beam Global Spirits. This news almost set the stage for Bethenny’s talk last night. As an entrepreneur, businesswoman, wife and mother, Bethenny has already overcome so many obstacles and admits that she probably has more to come. However, A Place of Yes is not about making over the course of your life, your personality or your qualities, but your outlook on the opportunities life can give you.
At the signing, Bethenny took time to answer questions from her fans, including how social media has impact her life: “It is so incredible. You don’t believe how incredible it is until you get on it… I am able to give back what I’ve gotten [through social media]. It’s how you build relationships.”
We highly suggest checking out A Place of Yes – a book for those who feel they have a stronger purpose in life, but not quite sure how to get themselves there (every PR girl at the beginning!).
PS – Bethenny also let us know her favorite spot for red velvet cake in the city is Two Little Red Hens on the Upper East Side – just a block away from A and I! We’ll be sure to report back after trying it for ourselves…
