How did you start working in PR?
We all started working in public relations the same way – interning. After working several different internships, we each received job offers and continue to live happily ever after…
Where do you work?
We work at different public relations agencies in NYC. Hopefully our paths will cross with yours one day…the PR industry isn’t that large, after all.
How do I become a PR girl?
Believe it or not, anyone can become a PR girl with hard-work, dedication and drive. There’s no step-by-step guide, but starting off with an internship or entry-level position to get hands on experience will help determine whether or not it’s the industry for you.
Do I need a PR degree to work in the industry?
Not at all! In fact, having a degree in a specialty topic can give you an upperhand. As long as you have a firm understanding of what PR is and some experience under your belt, you’re golden.
What blogging platform do you use?
Can I use your photographs?
Sure! We’d appreciate a link back.
Why did you start a blog?
Documenting our experiences in the city and helping others navigate the PR industry are the top two reasons why we started this blog. We hope to inspire and connect with girls that share our interests and encourage you to engage with us. The blogosphere has become such an influential part of the PR industry and we’re just happy to be a part of it.
Any advice for those who want to start a blog?
Just go for it! It can be intimidating, but if you have a purpose and a goal, starting a blog could be just the thing you need to make your life that much more enjoyable. You have a passion and a unique voice worth sharing! Let your thoughts carry you away.
What are some of your favorite NYC activities? Any that you recommend?
