About

Since January 2011, two 20-something PR girls document their experiences exploring the world of public relations, fashion & entertainment in the city they call home.

A Jersey girl at heart, A moved to Hoboken, NJ after residing on the Upper East Side for two years. Having majored in public relations at a school in Florida, A has worked in the public relations industry for over four years.

Greatest experience while living in New York: First fashion week, Fall 2010. Plus, New Years Eve 2011 with Meg.

Most delicious thing ever eaten in New York: Miso cod at Nobu.

Became a true New Yorker when: I began dreading Times Square.

Best PR advice: Dig, dig, dig for contacts.

Favorite PR girl perk: Working with the media and forming new relationships.

In  New York City  for over eight years, M has been navigating the public relations industry  since her college days. She’s obsessed with food, fashion, and Wednesday night spin classes. Her biggest pet peeve is slow walkers.

Greatest experience while living in New York:  Landing my first job in the city after college. And New Year’s Eve 2011 with Adrianna.

Most delicious thing ever eaten in New York:  Burger at PJ Clarkes.  Tapas at Alta in the West Village

Became a true New Yorker when:  Had a therapy session with a cab driver at 9am on a Wednesday morning on the way to the office.

Best PR advice:  PR is a team effort. Look to others for support when you need it, and offer to help your peers as  much as you can.

Favorite PR girl perk:  Aside from the obvious, pushing myself out of my comfort zone and meeting tons of new people.
