Now that it’s officially fall, we are free to indulge in everything and anything pumpkin flavored, decorative gourds from street markets, and cozy sweaters with cashmere scarves. For me, nothing says fall like curling up in front of a warm fireplace with good friends for good conversation. So as the temperatures start to drop, my thoughts immediately warm up to plans of adult beverages around a fire. And believe it or not, you don’t need to trek to the Adirondacks to find it. Here are a few of the top New York City bars with fireplaces to add a spark to your fall happy hours:
The Back Room (Lower East Side) – With a hidden entrance, this bar has the ambiance of a speakeasy. Also, they serve drinks in adorable tea cups! Drink up, with your pinky up.
Highlands (Downtown) - This Scottish gastropub is very cozy and very Scottish.
Black Bear Lodge (Gramercy/Flatiron) – Not only does this bar have a fireplace and a jukebox, but also a rustic ski lodge feel. Fall at its finest.
The Beauty Bar (East Village) - A salon turned saloon, you can even receive a free Blue Rinse margarita with a manicure (Wed’“Sun). Girl’s night out!
Union Pool (Brooklyn) – This bar does not have a fireplace, but rather, a fire pit! Note to self – smuggle in s’more fixings. If that wasn’t enough, they also boast a taco truck for your late night enjoyment.
