Twitter has quickly become the best source for PR tips – many of which should not be forgotten. Below are  some highlights from the  month, including  tweets from admired pr girls  @dkny, @marigopr  and yours truly, @nycprgirls. Not following them yet? Well, you should be!

@dkny: Being accessible, makes you indispensable.

@dkny: If you are presenting to a client you better be prepared to answer any & all questions about your service…I am hole poker…

@dkny: Sometimes you just have to cold call- even if you are a major brand, people aren’t always thinking of YOU…

@dkny: Update reports daily so that by the time they are due, you are all done…

@marigopr: Be grateful for what people do for you. Treat them with respect. #pr Ego Trips are not in style.

@marigopr: Just because someone is intimated by u, doesn’t mean they should ridicule u for their own pleasure – dont let someone knock you down!

@marigopr: Always follow up with contacts-check in, Say hello. Even a few sentences in an email. Dont ever NOT deliver. If u say something, DO IT!

@marigopr: Have a #reputation – BUT you make sure its a good one! Dont be the #publicist that everyone makes fun of or HATES working with!

@nycprgirls: In email pitches, less is more.

@nycprgirls: Don’t forget you can only make a first impression once, so make it the right one.

@nycprgirls: Never let yourself or your client forget the underlying value of PR.

@nycprgirls: The more brands act like humans, the more they will succeed.
