Last night was the opening of Rebecca Taylor’s new flagship store in the heart of the Meatpacking District. Known for her flirty, feminine designs, Rebecca’s store is nothing short of heaven on earth for any girly, girl.
Inside the pink walls was an appearance from Rebecca Taylor herself, displays of her spring 2011 collection and even Rebecca Taylor designed Kodak cameras (love!). Gossip Girl’s Tika Sumpter and Michelle Trachtenberg showed their support, along with Katrina Bowden and Selita Ebanks.

Rebecca Taylor’s story is that of the American (fashionista) dream. With a few dollars to spend, Rebecca came from a small town in New Zealand to New York and was later hired by designer Cynthia Rowley. After working under Cynthia for six years, she branched off to create what is now a multi-million-dollar label.
In celebrating the labels 15-year anniversary, exclusive collaborations are expected to launch with brands such as Citizens of Humanity, Wendy Mink and Porselli. I can’t wait to see what’s next to come, especially if the collaborations are anything like those of Cynthia Rowley (band-aids and diapers, anyone?).

Make sure you stop by the Rebecca Taylor store on 34 Ganesvoort Street if you are shopping in the Meatpacking District. However, don’t blame me when you walk out with large credit card charge and a pink bag full of silk dresses.
I warned you.
